Miss your favourite Taiwan goodies? Whether it’s famous snacks or beloved beauty products, here’s how you can order online and ship them to your doorstep!
We’ve already gone a few months without travel. And I’m not going to lie – it’s been miserable. The sirens song of travel is so hard to resist, without thinking about missing out on all the cool things you can get when you venture beyond our sunny borders.
Of course, one of the most popular destinations among us Singaporeans is Taiwan. And with Taiwan, comes the some of the best food that we love to stuff our luggages with – whether it’s popular supermarket canned food, famous snacks your tour guides won’t show you, or even the beloved Taiwan instant noodles.
Of course, there’s plenty more to buy than just snacks. Which brings me to my next point…
What’s There To Order From Taiwan?
Taiwan calls to mind their gorgeous landscapes, and all those amazing day trips you can take while you’re there. But food and shopping is still a huge staple of Taiwanese tourism. The best part is that we don’t have to be in Taiwan to get the things we want. Just order from their online websites!

But They Only Ship Within Taiwan?
Just like how we use US freight forwarders to get cheaper AirPods and cheaper iPad Pro, you can also use a freight forwarder to ship your shopping hauls from Taiwan to Singapore too.
vPost is one of the freight forwarders who has just hopped on to the Taiwan freight forwarding train. I’m only going to be covering the basics today, so I won’t be getting into the nitty gritty. But you can check out our step-by-step guide on how to use vPost if you need more guidance!
Step 1: Get A Taiwan Address
It’s really simple, thankfully. All you need to do is create a vPost account, and you can locate your Taiwanese shipping address under the “My Addresses” tab. Clicking into the “Taiwan” link will show you your Taiwanese shipping address and phone number.
Step 2: Place Your Order
I’m buying a bunch of adorable bits and bobs from One Day (小日子), but the process will probably differ from merchant to merchant, so it’s not a one size fits all process. However, it shouldn’t be too difficult. Just make sure that:
- You enter the exact Taiwan address given to you
- The merchant accepts foreign cards
As you can see, I’ve copied my vPost Taiwan address (right) exactly into One Day’s checkout page (left) accordingly.
Pro tip: If the website you’re shopping on offers free domestic shipping above a certain amount, I’d recommend meeting that amount so that you don’t have to pay for shipping within Taiwan.
Once you’ve entered your Taiwan shipping address and made payment using your YouTrip card, you’ll be all set.
Step 3: Pay For Your Singapore Shipping
Now, you’ll have to wait for your package to be shipped to vPost’s warehouse in Taiwan. Once it’s processed upon arrival, you’ll receive a notification through email or SMS. You can then go ahead to pay for your shipping from Taiwan to Singapore.

Heads up! It’s also worth noting that your Taiwan shipping is calculated according to both actual weight or volumetric weight – whichever is higher. So keep that in mind when shipping your purchases.
