What is the KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card?

The KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card is a co-branded Mastercard issued by UOB in partnership with Singapore Airlines. It is designed for “mileage hackers” who want a seamless way to stack miles through daily expenses without the hassle of manual points conversion.

Unlike traditional rewards cards, this card offers:

  • Direct Accrual: Miles go straight to your KrisFlyer account — no separate rewards wallet.
  • Automatic Monthly Conversion: Your base miles (1.2 mpd) are deposited monthly.
  • No Conversion Fees: Save the standard S$25 fee usually charged to move points to airlines.
  • Ecosystem Perks: Bonus earn rates and specific travel benefits for Singapore Airlines, Scoot, and KrisShop.

KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card Accelerated Miles

  • 3 mpd: On Singapore Airlines, Scoot, KrisShop, Kris+, and Pelago.
  • 2.4 mpd (Accelerated): On Dining, Food Delivery, Online Shopping, Online Travel, and Transport (Taxis/SimplyGo).
  • 1.2 mpd: On everything else.

Kris+ and Pelago spend earns 3 mpd but does not count toward the S$1,000 SIA Group minimum required to trigger Accelerated Miles.

❗️ Requirement (2026): To trigger the 2.4 mpd rate on dining and transport, you must spend at least S$1,000 annually on SIA, Scoot, or KrisShop. If you don’t hit this, those categories drop to a measly 1.2 mpd.

💡 Expert Tip: Because bonus miles take up to 14 months to reach your account, use this for long-term goals. For immediate “cash-back” value when travelling, YouTrip remains the fastest way to save on every transaction.

Eligibility & Income Requirements

Applying for the card is relatively straightforward, provided you meet the following criteria:

  • Age: 21 years and above.
  • Income Requirement (Singaporeans/PR): S$30,000 per year.
  • Income Requirement (Foreigners): S$40,000 per year.
  • Secured Option: If you don’t meet the income criteria, you may apply with a S$10,000 fixed deposit as collateral.

What are the Benefits of the KrisFlyer UOB Card?

Beyond miles, the card offers specific perks for those who frequent Changi Airport:

1. Exclusive Scoot Perks

Budget travellers get decent perks (when booking via the UOB x Scoot portal):

  • Extra 5kg baggage: When you buy at least 20kg (Principal cardholder only).
  • Priority Boarding & Check-in: Through the “BoardMeFirst” service.
  • Free Standard Seat Selection: For the principal cardholder and travel companions on the same booking.

❗ Note: The booking flexibility waiver was removed in June 2024, and a 2.2% payment fee applies to Scoot bookings as of 2025.

2. Fast Track to Elite Status

Spend S$5,000 on Singapore Airlines, Scoot, or KrisShop transactions within your first year to get fast-tracked to KrisFlyer Elite Silver

Spending on Kris+ or Pelago generally does not count toward the S$5,000 fast-track requirement, even though they earn 3 mpd.

Note: The upgrade to Silver only happens after your first card anniversary, so you won’t get the status perks for any flights taken during that first year.

Kris+ Feast to Fly: Earn Up to 11 mpd Until 30 June 2026

Singapore Airlines is running the Kris+ Feast to Fly 2026 promotion from 1 May to 30 June 2026. Pay through the Kris+ app at any of 70+ participating Singapore restaurants (215 outlets in total) and you’ll earn 8 miles per dollar (mpd) on the bill. That’s already strong on its own, but here’s where the KrisFlyer UOB card actually shines.

The stacking maths:

The KrisFlyer UOB card earns 3 mpd on all Kris+ transactions, uncapped. When you pay a participating Feast to Fly outlet through the Kris+ app and link a KrisFlyer UOB card, you stack:

  • 8 mpd from the Kris+ Feast to Fly base rate
  • 3 mpd from the KrisFlyer UOB card on the Kris+ transaction
  • Total: 11 mpd

That puts the KrisFlyer UOB on Mainly Miles’ recommended stacking cards list for this promotion, alongside HSBC Revolution, DBS Woman’s World, Maybank XL Rewards, UOB Lady’s, and UOB Preferred Visa.

Participating brands include: Nobu Singapore, Four Seasons restaurants (One-Ninety and Jiang-Nan Chun), Seoul Garden, Huggs Coffee, and Polar Puffs & Cakes.

How it works:

  1. Pay through the Kris+ app at a participating outlet using your KrisFlyer UOB card
  2. The 8 mpd Feast to Fly miles credit instantly as KrisPay miles
  3. Transfer to your KrisFlyer account within 21 days (auto-transfer is available in-app)
  4. The 3 mpd from KrisFlyer UOB credits separately to your KrisFlyer account on the usual monthly cycle

This is a Singapore-only dining promo, so it sits in a different lane from your overseas spend. For trips abroad, the KrisFlyer UOB still hits you with a 3.25% FCY fee, which is why YouTrip remains the better tool overseas: no FX fees, Mastercard wholesale rates, free S$400 in monthly ATM withdrawals.

⚠️ Promotion runs 1 May to 30 June 2026. Verify current Kris+ Feast to Fly partners and rates at krisplus.com or in the Kris+ app before relying on any specific outlet or rate.

Lounge Access & Annual Fee

One major downside? There is no KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card lounge access

  • Annual Fee: S$196.20 (waived for the first year).
  • Renewal Bonus: You get 10,000 KrisFlyer miles when you pay the annual fee (credited after annual fee posts).

Which UOB Card is Best for Miles?

It depends on your spending style:

  • KrisFlyer UOB: Best for those who spend heavily on dining/transport and don’t mind waiting for their miles.
  • UOB PRVI Miles: Better for high earners who want 2.4 mpd on overseas spend, 3 mpd on select regional currencies, immediate access to miles, and 4 free lounge visits (though still subject to bank fees).
  • UOB Lady’s Card: Best for 4 mpd on a chosen category.

KrisFlyer UOB Credit Card Review

If you frequently fly Singapore Airlines or Scoot, this card is straightforward: miles are credited directly to your KrisFlyer account every month. No transfers, no conversion fees.

You earn:

  • 3 mpd on SIA Group spend
  • 2.4 mpd (uncapped) on dining, transport, and online shopping

The uncapped 2.4 mpd is a real advantage — many competitors cap bonus spend at S$1,000–S$2,000 per month.

What to watch:

  • S$1,000 annual SIA spend required to unlock the 2.4 mpd.
Miss it, and every day spend drops to 1.2 mpd.
  • Bonus miles are delayed. They’re credited in a lump sum (up to 14 months later), which shortens your usable miles window and effectively locks you in.

Bottom Line:

Strong for SIA loyalists who can meet the S$1,000 requirement. Average if you can’t.

Use this card as your daily driver for local dining, transport, and online spend — but consider switching to YouTrip the moment you land overseas.

Pro Tip: Using YouTrip for Overseas Spending

krisflyer uob credit card: YouTrip

While the KrisFlyer UOB Card earns 1.2 mpd on general overseas spend, it also comes with a 3.25% foreign currency (FCY) fee.

Let’s do the math: If you spend S$1,000 in Tokyo, you pay ~S$32.50 in fees just to earn 1,200 miles. That’s effectively buying miles at a very high price.

⚖️ The Smart Strategy:

  • UOB: Use KrisFlyer UOB for the airfare (3.0 mpd, no FX fee if in SGD).
  • YouTrip: Switch to YouTrip for your meals and shopping on the ground. With 0% FX fees and wholesale exchange rates, the cash you save in your pocket is far more valuable than the low-tier miles you’d earn on a credit card.

Why YouTrip is the better travel companion:

  • 0% FX Fees: You get the wholesale exchange rate with no markups.
  • Best for everyday overseas spending: Use your KrisFlyer UOB for the flights (to get 3 mpd), but switch to YouTrip for your meals and shopping on the ground to save that 3.25% fee.
  • Stacking: You save more in cold, hard cash with YouTrip than you would earn back in miles value on general overseas spend.

FAQs: Krisflyer UOB Credit Card

Q: How much is 10,000 KrisFlyer miles worth in SGD?

As of 2026, the value depends on how you use them:
Flight Redemptions: Approx. S$110 to S$150 (1.1 to 1.5 cents per mile) for Economy/Premium Economy.
Via Cash + Miles Redemption: Singapore Airlines now values 100 miles at S$1, making 10,000 miles worth S$100.

Q: Is the annual fee worth the 10,000 miles?

The S$196.20 fee is slightly higher than the mile value (~S$150). It’s worth it if you use the Scoot perks; otherwise, use YouTrip to save on fees and put that money toward a ticket instead!

Q: When do the accelerated miles get credited to my account?

Base miles (1.2 mpd) credited monthly. Bonus awarded one month after membership year ends, credited the following month (up to 14 months total from spend)

Q: Can I stack Kris+ Feast to Fly with my KrisFlyer UOB card?

Yes. The KrisFlyer UOB card earns 3 mpd on all Kris+ transactions (uncapped), and the Kris+ Feast to Fly promotion earns 8 mpd at 70+ participating Singapore restaurants from 1 May to 30 June 2026. Pay through the Kris+ app and you’ll stack to 11 mpd total.
