No gatherings? No problem! Here’s how we celebrated YouTrip’s 2nd anniversary with cashback rewards, a virtual game night, a fresher coat of paint & more!

Despite 2020 being a whirlwind of a year and with everything (and I really mean everything) that has happened, we decided it was high time to pass on some good vibes!

This August, we celebrated our 2nd birthday since our launch in sunny Singapore. Looking back, it has been an amazing journey and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our YouTroopers for your love and support from the very beginning. 💜

Prior to Miss Rona, YouTroopers loved bringing their YouTrip card overseas and covered 186 out of 196 countries in the world. Within one and a half years of our launch, YouTroopers have also transacted in over 110 currencies during their travels – jetsetting during any long weekend holiday were indeed the good ol’ days…

With COVID-19 messing up all of our travel plans, we had to connect with our YouTroopers differently. And that’s what we did! We shared many tips and tricks for you to buy popular items like Apple Airpods, iPad Pro, and Nintendo Switch at cheaper prices from overseas sites.

While we had big plans for throwing another birthday bash this year, Miss Rona said no – and so we decided to bring our #birthdaytrippin celebrations to you!

Through our inaugural YouTrip Trivia Night of fun and games, YouTroopers challenged themselves with rapid-fire questions on travel, pop-culture, and everything in between. A big congratulations to all the winners walked away with over S$1,000 worth of prizes that night!🥇

Despite everything, it’s really not all doom and gloom, as we also took this time to enhance existing features, like our 3DS payment authorisation so that you’ll enjoy a better peace of mind for all your e-commerce payment experience.

ICYMI, we also updated The YouTrip app with a fresh coat of paint and a cleaner look. Our update makes it easier for you to navigate around the app and keep track of your past transactions by date.

And we aren’t stopping here! Our elves have been working hard on new product features that’ll allow you to transfer funds to other YouTroopers. Plus, you’ll be able to top-up directly with PayNow soon. We’re excited to release these new features in the coming months, so keep your eyes peeled!
