1. Creamier Gillman Barracks

2. The Coastal Settlement

Surrounded by lush greenery and decorated with unique rustic antiques such as ancient bicycles, vintage cameras, and kerosene lamps, The Coastal Settlement is the perfect hideaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. Though a little on the pricey end, this comfy oasis is a fusion of Western-Asian cuisine. Some signature must-tries include their tender Wagyu Beef Cubes, decadent Wagyu Beef and Mushroom Pizza, and filling Big Breakfast – runny scrambled eggs with creamed mushrooms, maple-glazed bacon, chicken cheese sausage, tater tots, and sourdough toast. Truly a feast to behold. So, take a moment to revel in this secluded haven and relive old memories as you take in glimpses of tranquil sea views.

3. Sinpopo Brand @ Katong

Get transported back to the ‘80s with Sinpopo! Upon sight, this cafe brings us back to the good old days with its grilled shophouse front, tiled floors, and rattan chairs. Combined with Peranakan flavors, Sinpopo puts a spin on beloved traditional comfort food. Their Signature Nasi Lemak with blue pea flower coconut rice is steamed with a muslin cloth to pay homage to Singapore’s tradition and heritage. While coffee is whipped up using a kopi sock. 4. Whisk & Paddle

5. Coexist Coffee Co

6. Ambling Turtle

As per its name, “Ambling” refers to a slow and relaxed pace, making it an ideal location for chill days. If you’ve got a hankering for nonya food, this modern Peranakan glasshouse cafe will certainly satisfy those cravings. Some signature dishes include its aromatic Nonya Curry Chicken Croissant, Satay Chicken, and Pulled Beef Rendang. However, the star of this cafe is Go Home – crispy yet fluffy pandan buttermilk waffles drizzled in aromatic coconutty Gula Jawa syrup, sprinkled with azuki red beans, and cendol jelly.
