If you’re just now getting into essential oils, you might not be too confident in blending them to create unique scents just yet. After all, it can be quite confusing. How are you supposed to know what goes well with the scent of ylang ylang or bergamot if you’re new to the game? After all, ylang ylang sounds more like a made up word than the name of a flower.
That’s why I’m going to reveal some of my personal favourite essential oil blends to turn your home smelling like a bougie spa. Or if you’re crazy about spiced pumpkin latte, you can turn your room into a Starbucks too.
Before you get all excited to grab all the essential oils, always remember to do price comparisons. Why? One bottle of lemongrass in Muji can get you eight bottles from iHerb instead – it’s that crazy! Without further ado, here are my personal favourite blends you must try:
Pro tip: These blend ratios are based on 300ml aroma diffusers, so feel free to adjust the ratios yourself if have a bigger diffuser!
💆♀️ Rest & Relax in a Spa 💆♀️
Now that most of us are working from home, it might mean that the space once meant for us to rest and unwind has also become our office. The lines get blurry, and it can be hard to shift your mindset from working hard to hardly working – if it all occurs within the same space.
1. Netflix Night 🍿
Who the Netflix Night blend is for: You’re done with the work day, but not quite ready to go to bed. You’re just looking to wind down and read a book, or watch some Netflix.
How the Netflix Night blend helps you: With soothing scents like bergamot, ylang ylang and just a touch of lemon, you’re sure to loosen up. It’s a winning combination of herby, floral, and citrus scents that makes you feel a little more zen, without losing your mental clarity.

How the Bedtime Ritual blend helps you: Science has proven that lavender essential oils (or rather, their scent) has anxiety reducing as well as sleep improving qualities. It’s the go-to oil to ease your mind into a restful place. Combined with geranium (which is a sweet, floral scent), sleep might not be too far off.

I’m sure all of us miss living our daily lives, and finally appreciate the Garden City feel Singapore has. So why not bring the scents of the gardens and parks into your home? Popping these essential oil blends in the diffuser can help recreate the serenity of chilling in nature.
3. Walk In The Park 🌿
Who the Walk In The Park blend is for: One of your favourite things to do is take a long walk through your local neighbourhood park, or anywhere full of greenery. You’d probably be happy to picnic in a grassy knoll too, despite our warm weather.
How the Walk In The Park blend helps you: This rejuvenating blend of lavender, peppermint, lemon, and bergamot can help replicate that relaxing feeling of walking around in the open. How the Garden Zen blend helps you: This essential oil blend helps you to transport yourself from your home into your favourite garden. With the smells of bergamot, geranium, ylang ylang, and vetiver, this heady combination of grassy, herb, and floral smells helps you get some garden bliss.
