Need more ways to keep busy in Singapore till the borders reopen? Here’s a bunch of things we’re excited to do in pairs or groups of 5 with or without our SingapoRediscovers Vouchers (SRVs)!
It’s the 21st of June. You wake up excited about the possibility of dining out once more and quickly secure a date with your best friend before making a reservation at your favourite restaurant. You exchange those sweatpants for a semi-presentable outfit (well, the nicest one you’ve worn all month anyway) and head on out, safely masked. The meal was great, and you guys even stayed for seconds, but that was when post-meal activity-dread kicked in. You’ve eaten your fill, but now what? Fret not. We’re sharing a list of activities we’re excited to do in pairs or in groups of 5 around the island this June!
What To Do In Groups Of 5:
• Get Outdoors
• Get Handsy
• Get Artsy
• Get Cooking
• Get Sweating
🌲 Get Outdoors: Trekking
1. Dover Forest
Home to several endangered species of plants and animals, Dover forest is one of the few untouched plots of lush greenery in Singapore. However, it’s not without its difficulties. Dover forest was faced with the threat of being turned into a housing estate earlier this year and since then, a petition was started to appeal to the authorities to conserve the forest by developing a nature park instead. In case you find yourself wandering into the woods, keep in mind that this trek is no walk in the park — it’s also vital that you watch your step so that you hurt nothing and, of course, leave nothing behind.

2. Clementi Forest
You’ve heard of the Rail Corridor (and if you haven’t, that’s a bonus extended trek for you!) — but did you know that there are hidden treks within that trek? If you’ve entered via the King Albert Park MRT’s way, you’ll be safely guided by a proper path along the Green Corridor. If you see the above valley on your right, you’ve gone too far. Backtrack a little till you see a dirt path going into the forest (it’ll be on the same side as said valley). From there, get ready for knee-high bushes, muddy railway tracks and a tunnel at the end of the trek. As always, remember that this area isn’t regulated by NParks, so watch your step!
