1. Halal Chicken Xiao Long Bao at DIN by Din Tai Fung
You no longer have to travel up to Kuala Lumpur (KL) to have a taste of halal Xiao Long Bao! Located on the Level Ground of Mid Valley Southkey Mall, DIN by Din Tai Fung serves halal Xiao Long Bao, including Lamb and Sambal Chicken.
However, prices in DIN by Din Tai Fung are similar to Singapore’s Din Tai Fung outlets. If you don’t mind the price, then you should try the chicken flavours at least once for the novelty!

2. Smoky Charcoal Hokkien Mee at Kim Lian Kee Restaurant
Mid Valley Southkey Mall also has another KL gem – Kim Lian Kee Restaurant ( 金莲记福建面美食馆 ), which hails from the famous Petaling Street Market. The original KL outlet has more than 100 years of history and it claims to be the birth place of hokkien noodles in KL!
With such a notable history, it’s no wonder Mid Valley Southkey Mall’s Kim Lian Kee Restaurant sees huge crowds during weekend lunch and dinner times. Arrive early to avoid waiting too long!

3. Herbal Roasted Duck at Meng Meng Roasted Duck (阿明帝皇鸭)
If there’s a long queue at Meng Meng Roasted Duck in KSL City Mall or City Square mall, you can always get your herbal roasted duck fix in Mid Valley Southkey Mall!
Fun fact: Meng Meng Roasted Duck’s owner Ah Meng was a teenage apprentice at the famous Restoran Ya Wang, before he started his own chain of herbal roasted duck restaurants.

4. Thai Boat Noodles at Boat Noodle
When you’re feeling peckish from all the shopping, head over to Boat Noodle for some Thai boat noodles! At only SGD $0.70 per bowl, you can eat to your heart’s content.
There are five flavours to choose from, as well as two noodle types and two meat types. It should be easy to try all five flavours considering the tiny portions. If you’re looking for full meals instead, Boat Noodle also has a variety of rice, noodles, and stir-fry options on the menu!

5. Cakes at Tokyo Secret
When visiting Mid Valley Southkey Mall, you’ll most definitely notice Tokyo Secret as you alight at Mid Valley Southkey Mall’s south entrance. Though we didn’t think the dining menu and signature Hanjuku Cheese Tarts were any good, we might return just for their cakes!
Tokyo Secret’s cakes are all on display at the shop front, so you can take your time to admire and choose the flavour you really like.
