Prices in Japan have been increasing like mad. ICYMI, from October 2023, Japan Rail (JR) Pass prices will be increasing by nearly 70%. And now it appears that a visit to Japan’s renowned theme parks will demand a little more from your pockets starting from mid-August 2023. As fellow theme park junkies, we feel your pain (cries).

Here’s a look at the current admission prices for USJ:

From mid-August onwards, a one-day admission ticket for adults will increase to as much as 10,400 yen (~S$98.42). This ~20.9% increase in admission prices is set to fall between the peak period of 12 to 20 Aug 2023, when Japan celebrates the Obon festival to commemorate its deceased ancestors.

Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will cost up to 10,900 yen (~S$103.15) during peak periods from 1 October 2023 onwards. This includes holidays and weekends.
To ease traffic congestion, two new price points between 9,900 yen (~S$93.68) and 10,900 yen (~S$103.15) will be added. Junior tickets for peak periods will increase to 9,000 yen (~S$85.17), while Child tickets will remain the same.
