In Singapore, most of us would know that we can score an Ikea hotdog bun, a small bowl of tangy Thai Boat Noodles, one plain crispy Roti Prata, and a cup of creamy Froyo for a dollar. And let’s not forget about Singapore’s iconic colourful ice cream sandwich! But what about overseas?
Recently, we’ve put up yet another poll on Instagram asking you, YouTroopers, what you would spend on overseas if you only had S$1. And as usual, you guys came through! Nothing beats a good ole cuppa joe in the morning to jolt up your brain — especially when you have to make the most of your trip by getting up in the wee hours of the morning. And bottled water? An absolute necessity! Never knock hydration.
To our YouTrooper who responded with spending their S$1 on the washroom, props to you! Fun fact: Some public toilets overseas charge an entry fee ranging from a few cents to S$1. This fee is mainly used for maintenance and to keep the loos clean. And as we all know, when you gotta go, you gotta go.
