Air fryers have been in the market for quite some time, and those who purchased it always end up loving it. I, too, am super in love with my air fryer’s ability to cook fast and provide me with healthier food options. From reheating frozen food such as nuggets to cooking my own Har Cheong Gai, the possibilities are endless. With Taobao, it doesn’t cost too much to own one too!
This particular air fryer is able to roast a whole chicken, cook steak, bake cakes, and toast sandwiches. Meal preps are much easier to clean up too with its easy to clean grill plates, and of course, with lesser oil used, air fried foods are generally diet-friendly!

I recently ordered this rice cooker from Taobao that’s just the right size for three to four people. I have a larger Philips rice cooker at home, but it takes up counter space so I wanted a smaller one that I can use daily. It has a preset timer function, which means I can put in my rice up to 24 hours in advance and set it to be cooked.
I can put in my rice in the morning before I head out and set it to be cooked by dinner time! It also comes with a steaming basket so I can steam eggs or veggies while my rice is cooking. Of course, it also has functions to cook porridge or soup.

One of the kitchen appliances I use the most when I have friends over, is my BBQ & steamboat set. Every Chinese New Year, it practically lives on my dining table! The set comes with grilling plates for barbecuing, and a pot for steamboat.

Just one machine will help me boil and steep my tea in a pot, while keeping my cup of tea warm. Perfect for tea lovers who are working from home! As long as your cup is ceramic or glass, it’ll work well with this appliance.

In Singapore, a good stand mixer that can cost you at least S$600 to S$1,000. KitchenAid artisan mixers are usually priced at S$700+, while high-end Kenwood mixers can go up to a thousand. With such a steep price point, it’s difficult to convince myself to get one. Even though I love baking and am always on the lookout for a strong mixer to knead my bread dough well, spending S$1,000 for one is too much for me.
After researching on Xiaohongshu and going through tons of reviews, I purchased a Sunatur stand mixer from Taobao. It has a motor of 1500W, which makes it strong enough to knead bread dough continuously for 15 to 20 minutes without overheating. It also whips cream and meringue perfectly!

Blenders in Singapore are quite affordable, but it’s even cheaper on Taobao and comes with a lot more functions. I recently purchased a blender that’s not only aesthetically pleasing, but also has a variety of functions and modes – smoothie, juice or milkshakes.
It can even purée vegetables, cook millet porridge, and make nut milks such as almond milk or soy milk! Oh, I can even boil the nuts or beans while making the milk, and also to keep them warm. There’s also a preset timer for me to place soybeans the night before and have fresh soy milk ready in the morning!
