End Your Day With A Heron Welcome At Petulu Village

In the evening, head to Ubud’s lesser-visited site Petulu Village to witness the incredible sight of thousands of herons returning to their nests at sunset. The white heron, locally known as Kokoan, is ubiquitous in Bali — soaring through the skies, scouring flatlands for food, and sometimes stalking through the muddy waters of rice fields for worms. Home to approximately 4000 herons, you can head to the viewing platform in the middle of the village for the best bird show of your life!

Day 3: Nusa Penida Island
Take a day trip to Nusa Penida Island, a hidden gem that’s still largely undiscovered by tourists. The island is known for its stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and dramatic cliffs. You can either take a taxi to Sanur or ride the ferry, which will cost you ~ IDR 300,000 per person.
Climb Down A Tropical Dinosaur At Kelingking Beach

The Kelingking Cliff is the most famous view of Nusa Penida and probably one of the most iconic views anywhere in Bali. Shaped like a T-Rex, this great cliff sticks out over the ocean, providing you with a breathtaking view the first time you look over the edge. The hike up to the cliff will take you around two hours, but the view is definitely worth every drop of sweat.

Named after the popular underwater establishment of one of our favourite cartoons, the Krusty Krab is an ever-popular option amongst tourists and locals alike. Its colourful cartoon theme draws in crowds with cheap and cheerful Indonesian and Western favourites. Grab a Nasi Goreng or sink your teeth into a Burger without making a dent! Play With Manta Rays At Broken Beach

A cool circular cove formed between rocks, Broken Beach boasts a large leftover arch that will leave you in awe. As you step into the arch, you’ll be able to see clear turquoise waves and a small white sand beach. While you can’t enter the beach, it provides a cool and unique view of the formation from above. This area is also one of the popular hangout spots for manta rays, which you will most likely observe floating around the sea nearby if you’re lucky!

Dine & Relax At Crystal Bay

One of the most popular spots on the west side of Penida, Crystal Bay is a beautiful white-sand beach that’s perfect for swimming, snorkelling, or simply relaxing on the sand. With plenty of food and drink shacks for refreshments, you can kick back, enjoy a few sticks of chicken satay and get the most amazing tan. Experience The Popular Tegenugan Waterfall

Before you leave, dedicate a day to visiting some of Bali’s most beautiful waterfalls! Start your day by visiting Tegenugan Waterfall, a popular spot located just outside of Ubud. The lush greenery and picturesque falls are a great photo op to commemorate your exciting trip to Bali. For a bird’s eye view of the falls, be sure to check out the viewpoint near the entrance. If you’re blessed with optimal weather conditions, take a dip in the inviting pool at the base!

Bond With Nature At Gitgit Waterfall

Gitgit waterfall is one of Bali’s biggest waterfalls, and it’s definitely not one to be missed! Take a short and easy hike on a path that follows a river into the jungle. And don’t worry too much about getting lost as the path is lined with little shops selling handmade souvenirs! At the end of the path, you’ll reach an enormous twin waterfall with two tiers, thundering down on the rocks below. Soak in the majestic beauty of the waterfall by swimming in the pool below! Do note that a local guide is not needed for this waterfall and that it has been reported that scammers in the parking lot will try to trick unsuspecting tourists by claiming a guide is required to enter for a small fee.
