Ready to advance your career and become a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder? Here’s how to save on your course fees with your YouTrip multi-currency card, plus important details and upcoming 2022 exam dates to take note of.
Those who know know, but for those who don’t — Chartered Financial Analyst charterholders are often highly sought after in the global finance world and mostly hold roles in senior and executive positions in investment management, risk management, and asset management related industries. If you’re planning to begin your CFA program journey towards becoming a charterholder, read on for the steps!
1. Enrolment Requirements
Step Zero: Enrollment Requirements To Become A CFA Candidate
You will have to register for the Level I exam, have an international passport, be ready to take exams in English, have completed the Professional Conduct Statement form, live in a participating country, as well as meet one of the following qualifications:
(1) have a bachelor’s degree (2) be an undergraduate student (3) or have a combination of 4,000 hours of work experience
Step One: Pass The Exams
The CFA Program consists of three levels of the curriculum, each with its own exam. You must pass all three levels in order to become a CFA charterholder.
Step Two: Get Work Experience
You can choose to get work experience before, during, or after participation in CFA Program — the work must be directly involved with the investment decision-making process, or producing a work product that informs or adds value to that process.
Step Three: Provide References
Submit two to three professional references — these references will have to comment on your work experience and professional character.
Step Four: Get Approved
You are to first apply to become a regular member of the CFA Institute — once your application is approved, you will have earned the CFA charter!
