On Day 5, set out early to explore one of Korea’s three spirit mountains, Hallasan. Also called Yeongjusan Mountain, meaning “mountain high enough to pull the galaxy”, an imposing extinct volcano that stands as the highest peak in South Korea. There are multiple trails with varying difficulties, two of which, Seongpanak and Gwaneumsa require reservations before hiking as park rangers will check your reservations upon entry.

Taejongdae Park

On Day 7, get touristy at Taejongdae Park where you get to observe Busan’s coastal view, visit a pebble beach and check out a quaint temple while taking lots of pictures. As the park is on the very southern end of Yeongdo, Busan, its cliff-side location makes it great for taking in the vast view of the sea and of course, for Insta-worthy shots.
In the park itself, you can only travel by foot or the park’s own Danubi Train. This train loops around Taejongdae Resort Park, stopping only at the main attractions — Taejongdae Observatory, Yeongdo Lighthouse, and Taejongsa Temple. As a ticket holder, you can simply hop on and off at any of these stops.
Apart from the main attractions, there are three pebble beaches within Taejongdae Park’s compound and you are free to descend to these beaches that encroach on the park’s edges for a closer look at the sea.

Getting from Busan to Jeonju
Travel from Busan to Jeonju via the KTX (Korea Train eXpress) or an express bus to Jeonju. The KTX offers a fast and comfortable journey, whereas the express bus provides a scenic ride.
