Hey YouTroopers!
Thank you for your incredible support in 2025! We’ve seen more of you exploring the world – with 1 in 4 of you travelling to more than one destination last June holiday, and 1 in 5 Singaporeans using YouTrip for overseas spending. Impressive!
As more of you tap, swipe, and spend across the globe, we’ve rolled out a new security feature to further safeguard your money and transactions.
What is an Online Payment & ATM Alert?
Starting 21 January 2020, you’ll receive a daily consolidated statement of all your online transactions and ATM withdrawals in the past 24 hours. This daily consolidated statement will be delivered to your registered email inbox at 4 AM (SGT) daily.
What kind of transactions are included?
- Paying for an online or e-commerce purchase with your YouTrip card
- Providing your YouTrip card details over the phone to make a phone order
- Setting up recurring payments that automatically bill your YouTrip card
- Fulfilling an online invoice with your YouTrip card
- Withdrawing cash at ATMs with your YouTrip card
Who will receive these Online Payment & ATM Alerts?
You’ll get an Online Payment & ATM alert only if you’ve made an online transaction or ATM withdrawal in the past 24 hours. No activity? No email – simple as that!
Received an Online Payment & ATM Alert, but didn’t make any of the transactions listed?
If you spot a transaction you don’t recognise, contact our Customer Experience Team immediately at customer@you.co if any of the transactions were not authorised by you.
Will a reversed transaction be shown in the Online Payment & ATM Alert?
If a transaction is successfully reversed before the daily consolidated statement is sent, it won’t appear in your Online Payment & ATM Alert. If you do have any transaction reversals, they’ll appear on your Reversed Transaction Statement instead.

Why is my payment reversed?
- Merchant Reversal: If a merchant cancelled the transaction or has not claimed funds within 8 days, the amount will be released back to you automatically. If you need clarification or the payment shouldn’t have been reversed, it’s best to reach out to the merchant directly.
- Pre-Authorised Holds: The merchant has temporarily “reserved” an estimated amount on your card. This pre-authorised amount may be reversed first. Once the final amount is confirmed, the actual charge will be processed. This is common for hotels & accommodations, car rentals, transport services, fuel pumps and certain online platforms.
Can I turn off these Online Payment Alert & ATM Alerts?
Nope – this feature is mandatory to ensure a secure payment experience for all YouTrip users.
With this security feature, you’ll enjoy a clear, consolidated view of your recent online transactions and ATM withdrawals – all in one convenient email. Thank you for being part of our journey as we continue to build a smarter, more secure payment experience for you!
