Why are we implementing a service fee for Visa credit card top-ups?
We’re applying a 1.5% service fee to cover the cost of transactions for YouTrip top-ups made using Visa credit cards.
This upcoming service fee is an update to our previous announcement on 1 July of a S$1 service fee for YouTrip top-ups made using Visa credit cards.
What about Visa debit cards?
For the convenience of users without non-Visa alternatives, top-ups made with Visa debit cards will not be subject to this service fee, and will continue to be free.
How else can I avoid this service fee?
All other available top-up methods will continue to be free, including:
- PayNow
- Visa debit cards
- Mastercard debit or credit cards
To avoid the service fee, you can change your default top-up method on the app before 20 December 2021.
