💜 Everything About The YouTrip Card
1️⃣ How can we see the exchange rate for MYR like how we see for other currencies like JPY? — @dophinlymel on Instagram
👉 Head to our Mastercard calculator to see our wholesale exchange rates!
- Simply input your transaction currency (eg. MYR) and the amount you’re exchanging
- Input your card currency (SGD)
- Don’t forget to input ‘0’ under bank fees
And voila, you’ve got your exchange rate.
2️⃣ There isn’t a KRW wallet in YouTrip, how to exchange KRW in advance? — Cheong Neo on Telegram
👉 Top up your desired amount (SGD) into your YouTrip wallet and you’re ready to start spending in Korea! All you have to do is pay with your YouTrip Mastercard and we’ll automatically convert it to KRW with Smart Exchange™.
3️⃣ Hello Team~ Are we able to withdraw the stored value in the card? Eg. to a savings account? — @ngweiguo on Instagram
👉 Yes, you’re able to withdraw funds back into your bank account by emailing us at customer@you.co with the title ‘Refund’. Do note that an administrative fee of S$10 applies!
If not, you can always spend your remaining funds on public transport fares, or retail therapy with YouTrip Perks!
4️⃣ Hihi, can I check what should I do if I have unauthorized transactions? There’s no live chat available and I’m overseas now — @Riceshine on Instagram
👉 In the case of unauthorized transactions, temporarily lock your card on your YouTrip app & email our Fraud Reporting team at fraud-reporting@you.co or call us at our 24/7 hotline (+65 6904 9334) immediately! Our CS team will then suspend your account for your protection and send you a complimentary replacement card.
5️⃣ Hi, does anyone know how long it takes for a refund to revert back into one’s account? — Xue Ren on Telegram
👉 If your transaction was cancelled by a vendor, the refund should be reversed into your account within the next 8 days.
🔥 Wondering About YouTrip 2.0?
1️⃣ Hi, is there any chance for those who already have the card to get the new card design? — @rasyiq_t on Instagram
👉 Yes, all you have to do is request a card replacement via your YouTrip app. Note that a S$10 fee will apply and your current card will be suspended until your new card arrives in 7-12 days.
If your card is about to expire/has not expired, you’ll be able to renew your card for FREE with the new design!
2️⃣ Does the new purple card differ in function as compared to the old pink card? — @lethalegna on Instagram

🍎 Apple Pay Q&A
1️⃣ What’s the difference between adding the physical or virtual card to Apple Pay — @lester.low on Instagram
👉 There’s no difference between adding your physical/virtual card to Apple Pay! You can choose to add either 😁
2️⃣ Does it mean that we don’t have to bring the physical card overseas? — @faithfulbelief on Instagram
👉 While Apple Pay is a great travel companion, it’s advisable to still carry your Physical YouTrip card, especially for cash withdrawals! Plus, there’s always the case of your phone running out of battery during your trip.
3️⃣ To get the travel cashback, do I need to use my physical or virtual YouTrip card? — @megan_ahh on Instagram
👉 You can add either your physical/virtual YouTrip card on Apple Pay & score up to 10% cashback! If you’re not an Apple user, you can earn up to 5% cashback when you tap in with your physical YouTrip card via contactless payment.

🏧 ATM Withdrawals
1️⃣ Can we withdraw money from this card from SG & overseas? — @mixuezhuo on Instagram
👉 You’re able to withdraw cash at overseas ATMs. However, ATM withdrawals will not be available in Singapore
2️⃣ Any tips for free ATM fees in Malaysia? — @travelastic on Instagram
👉 The first S$400 withdrawn in foreign currency is FREE! A 2% fee will apply thereafter. But this S$400 calendar limit will reset on the 1st of each month so you’ll get to enjoy free withdrawals once more.
3️⃣ How to use it on overseas ATMs? — @laverlerve on Instagram
👉 Follow these steps:
- Simply use any overseas ATM with a Mastercard®, Maestro®, or Cirrus® logo.
- Key in your ATM pin
- Select ‘Saving Account’
- Click the option to withdraw in the country’s local currency (eg. MYR in Malaysia)
4️⃣ Hello! Will users get a notice when they extend their S$400 free withdrawal overseas? — @devilxjen02 on Instagram
👉 You won’t receive a notification. However, the YouTrip app makes tracking easy! Under ‘Recent Transactions’, you’ll be able to check how much you’ve withdrawn and if there are any fees included.
5️⃣ Which ATMs in Japan can I use to withdraw yen using YouTrip? And is the pin the same as my YouTrip pin? — @onlymusicunderstands on Instagram
👉 You can withdraw JPY from any ATMs accepting Mastercard (eg. 7-11 Lawson & FamilyMart). And yes, your PIN is the same as the one for your YouTrip app.
☁️ Wallet Limits, Top Ups & Fees
1️⃣ Can you increase the limit of the YouTrip card to 10k? I have close to 5k yen stored and can’t use it anymore 🙁 — @charlotte_huu on Instagram
👉 Based on MAS regulations, the current wallet limit is capped at S$5,000 😢
2️⃣ Is there a daily limit? So let’s say I need to purchase something that costs over S$10k — @lydiatanye on Instagram
👉 There are no daily transaction limits, only an annual transaction limit of S$30,000. So yes, you’d still be able to spend S$10,000, but you’ll have to top up your wallet twice as the maximum wallet limit is capped at S$5,000.
MAS is proposing to increase this transaction limit to S$100,000 & the wallet limit to S$20,000 — so keep an eye out for the change ⭐
3️⃣ Hi, are there any charges for using Mastercard or Visa to top up your YouTrip card? — Shah Kan on Telegram
👉 There are no fees involved when topping up your YouTrip wallet with Mastercard credit/debit cards, Visa debit cards, and even PayNow!
However, there’s a 1.5% service fee applicable for top-ups using Visa credit cards.
4️⃣ When already overseas in Japan, can we use PayNow/PayLah to top up our YouTrip card (instead of using credit cards to top up)? — CF on Telegram
👉 Yes, simply change your payment method to PayNow in your YouTrip app, input the amount you wish to top up, & save the QR code generated. Then head to your banking app under ‘Scan & Pay’ and select the QR code in your photo library.
🗺️ Travel Tips
1️⃣ Can the YouTrip card be used at Malaysia’s petrol pump stations instead of paying inside the office? — @danny_ng_sg on Instagram
👉 Yes, you can pay with your YouTrip card using the self-service petrol pumps! Simply key in the same pin you use to log in to your YouTrip app.
2️⃣ How to use YouTrip to top up TNG? — Constance R on Telegram
👉 Here’s how:
- Enter your Touch ‘n Go App
- Click on ‘Reload’
- Key in your desired amount & tap on ‘Reload eWallet’
- Select ‘Debit card’ & key in your YouTrip card details
3️⃣ Does anyone know if we’re able to use our YouTrip card for taking BTS/MRT in Bangkok? — Clara Lee on Telegram
👉 You can conveniently tap in with your YouTrip card to avoid the lengthy queues at Bangkok’s MRT stations. However, you’ll still need to purchase a train ticket for the BTS train lines.
4️⃣ Is YouTrip good for overseas study use? Like payment for tuition fees, etc. — @ning_daphne on Instagram
👉 Yup, you can always save more with the best rates all day! Do note that there’s a S$30,000 annual transaction limit set by MAS. This limit will reset every 365 days from your first top-up.

👉 Different airports around the world accept different cards for their tax refunds. In the event that a prepaid debit Mastercard can be used to facilitate your tax refund, your YouTrip card is a go!
If not, you can always choose to get your refund in other ways such as cash, cheque, or credit card.
