Terms and Conditions

The #YouTripItOnline (17 – 30 August 2020) Promotion (“Promotion“) is run by You Technologies Group (Singapore) Pte Ltd (“YouTrip”) and is subject to these terms and conditions (“T&Cs“).

  1. Promotion Period
    1. The Promotion will run from 17 to 30 August 2020 (“Promotion Period”).
    2. The verification of awardees eligible for 2% cashback will be from 31 August to 7 September 2020.
    3. The award of the Cashback Rewards (as defined below) will be from 8 to 21 September 2020.
      1. All Eligible Awardees (as defined below) who are awarded cashback will be notified by 7 September 2020 via the email provided in the campaign registration form.
  2. Eligibility
    1. To qualify for eligibility, the YouTrip cardholder (“Participant“) must first have successfully registered on the Promotion participation form within the Promotion Period.
    2. In addition, a Participant must fulfil the following conditions to be an “Eligible Awardee“:
      1. For 2% cashback: The Participant must be among the first 3,000 Eligible Awardees to have successfully spent in foreign currency on Qualifying Spend (as defined below) within the Promotion Period. No minimum spend is required. 
    3. Employees of YouTrip and its affiliates are not eligible for the redemption of the Cashback Rewards (as defined below).
    4. For the avoidance of doubt, YouTrip reserves the right to at its sole discretion disqualify any person from participating in this Promotion.
  3. Cashback Rewards
    1. This Promotion consists of the following “Cashback Rewards“:
      1. 2% cashback on all Qualifying Spend (as defined below) made within the Promotion Period. These Cashback Rewards will be awarded to the first 3,000 Eligible Awardees and are capped at S$15 per Eligible Awardee.
    2. All Cashback Rewards will be awarded in the SGD equivalent value at the prevailing exchange rates.
  4. Qualifying Spend
    1. Qualifying Spend” refers to retail transactions for goods made via the internet and processed by “shopping and grocery” merchants as an online transaction in any currency other than SGD. Some examples of “shopping and grocery” merchants include merchants whose main business involves the sale of groceries, fashion or cosmetic products, sporting goods or video games.     2. The following is a non-exhaustive list of transactions which will not be considered as Qualifying Spend:
      1. Any payments made via AXS and SAM networks.
      2. Any payments to educational institutions. 
      3. Any payment to financial institutions (including but not limited to banks, online trading platforms and brokerages).
      4. Any payment to government institutions and services (court cases, fines, bail and bonds, tax payment, postal services, parking lots and garages, intra-government purchases and any other government services not classified here).
      5. Any payments to hospitals.
      6. Any payments to insurance companies (including but not limited to sales, underwriting and premiums).
      7. Any payments to professional service providers (including but not limited to accounting, auditing, bookkeeping services, advertising services, funeral services and legal services).
      8. Any payments to utility bill companies.
      9. Any top-ups or payment of funds to payment service providers, prepaid cards or any prepaid accounts.
      10. Any payments for hotels, airlines or travel agencies.
      11. Any betting transactions.
      12. Any other transactions determined by YouTrip from time to time. 
    3. For the avoidance of doubt, YouTrip reserves the right to, at it sole discretion, determine whether a transaction constitutes Qualifying Spend.
  5. No Fraud or Violation of Terms
    1. YouTrip reserves the right to reject or clawback the Cashback Rewards granted or to be granted to an Eligible Awardee in the case of any fraudulent, dishonest and inappropriate conduct, as determined in the sole discretion of YouTrip. Such activities include but  are not limited to the following: the provision of any false details; the provision of any third party’s information without consent; and any other fraudulent or malicious actions.
  6. No Refunds and Rights to Clawback
    1. Cashback Rewards granted under this Promotion are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances (including but not limited to any closure, suspension, loss or expiry of an Eligible Awardee’s YouTrip account). For the avoidance of doubt, an Eligible Awardee shall not be entitled to any compensation, refund or alternative prize due to a failure to claim or use the Cashback Rewards.
    2. YouTrip reserves the right to deduct the relevant Cashback Rewards from the account balance of an Eligible Awardee which were granted due to any fraudulent, dishonest and inappropriate conduct by an Eligible Awardee as described in clause 5 above.
  7. Change of Terms and Termination
    1. YouTrip may, at its sole discretion, revise any of these T&Cs or terminate this Promotion at any time without prior notification.
  8. Acceptance of Terms
    1. By participating in this Promotion, the Participant shall be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these T&Cs. The Participant shall also be deemed to have:
      1. Agreed to receive communications by YouTrip via email, phone, SMS, app notifications in accordance with our Privacy Policy as disclosed in www.you.co.
      2. Agreed and accepted the General Terms and Conditions of YouTrip as disclosed in www.you.co.
  9. Governing Law
    1. These T&Cs shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
