Heads up folks, according to Straits Times<\/a>, airfares are up to 78% higher this December holiday than before the Covid\u201919 pandemic. Time to start booking your flights early or avoid peak travel periods!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A one-way ticket to South Korea<\/strong> from Singapore is 78%<\/strong> more expensive on average for all cabin classes starting from 19 November 2022 onwards. While one-way tickets to the Philippines<\/strong> have increased by 70%<\/strong> on average for all cabin classes for the same period. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those travelling to Malaysia this December, do take note that economy return flights to Kuala Lumpur <\/strong>have seen a 50%<\/strong> increase for the period of 19 \u2013 31 December 2022. What\u2019s more, flights to Europe<\/strong> have risen slightly by 10 \u2013 20% <\/strong>with prices ranging from S$1,500 to S$1,800. However, the same can\u2019t be said for London<\/strong> whose flight prices have only risen slightly by 5%<\/strong> for economy-class return tickets from 19 \u2013 31 December. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, not all news is bad news, tickets to Taiwan<\/strong> have dropped from around S$1,500 to S$1,000 since September. And flights to Japan<\/strong> have lowered their prices from S$2,800 to S$1,600!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
