That said, this Bali food guide is by no means an exhaustive list of all the best places to eat in Bali. It is simply a bucket list for foodies starting off on their Bali food adventures. It’s 11 am. You’re here at Penny Lane for none other than their famed brunches and attentive service. Expect beautifully-plated Instagrammable bites in a lush boho-chic cafe adorned with rattan and all the greenery that the surrounding tropics (and desert) could offer up. Devoid of any pretension, Milk & Madu Cafe serves up excellent cuppa joes and a mean brunch alongside sets of live music. If you’re staying for lunch and looking for something a little more substantial, go for their quinoa salad. Helmed by Australian Head Chef Ben Cross, Mason is all about curating the perfect gastronomical experience using only local and organic ingredients. Our advice? Come hungry because you’re in for a treat. Also, don’t leave without trying their wood-fired flatbread and, to quote YouTrooper Rebecca, “insane<\/em> roast chicken”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, when you’re in Bali, you have to try Babi Guling. After getting stuffed with a spice mixture also known as basa gede, the pig is roasted over an open fire before being served over white rice with vegetables and crisp pork skin. There are many places that serve it in Bali, but a popular store to have it at is Pak Malen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
