Coming back home just got simpler thanks to the now available real-time remote supervised self-swab pre-departure ARTs for returning Singapore residents. Read on for more details on the approved countries, test kits, and medical service providers.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We couldn’t be more excited about the latest local and Vaccinated Travel Framework developments. And while things are headed quickly towards Singapore’s goal of endemic-y, there are still a few protocols put in place to slow down the spread of the virus. Just recently, the government has approved the use of supervised video ART providers based in Singapore to carry out pre-departure virtually supervised ARTs for Singapore-bound travellers (this includes all travellers, except short-term visitors). So if you’re planning to travel soon, or you’re coming home from a trip, you’re at the right place. Here’s all you need to know about this convenient new feature.

2. Pre-departure Virtually Supervised ARTs: How It Works<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

What You Need To Prepare<\/strong><\/td>\u2705 A working internet connection (Wi-Fi would be best to avoid crazy data roaming charges)
\u2705 Weblink sent to you, or the app you were required to download to do the real-time remove supervised self-swab through
\u2705 Time: set aside half an hour
\u2705 2x approved test kit (in case you get faulty results the first time round)
\u2705 Identification Card or Passport

Steps<\/strong><\/td>1\ufe0f\u20e3 Verify identity (hold IC or passport up to the camera)
2\ufe0f\u20e3 Show unopened<\/strong> ART kit and LOT number (i.e. the date when the test kit was manufactured; the kit’s LOT number should be reflected in all caps beginning with ‘LOT#’)
3\ufe0f\u20e3 Swab supervisor will guide you through the test-taking
4\ufe0f\u20e3 Wait for results (15 minutes)\u2014 You will need to leave the ART kit in view of the camera
5\ufe0f\u20e3 Hold the test kit to the camera to show results (take a picture just in case)

4. Who Can Take Pre-departure Virtually Supervised ARTs?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As of 5 April, all travellers flying into Singapore from any country can now fulfil their pre-departure Covid-19 test requirements through virtually supervised ARTs using an approved ART kit<\/a> and using a MOH-approved service provider<\/a>. This, however, still excludes short-term visitors (aka tourists) as of now. They will still be required to present Covid-19 test results from an overseas testing centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
