The STV scheme in application to Singaporeans in particular, had a number of stringent requirements to fulfill if you want to apply for the visa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Since then, The Bangkok Post has reported on 9 December 2020 that only 825 people from 29 countries have taken up the visa. TAT has decided to loosen the requirements and<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bangkokpost.com\/business\/2032075\/thailand-now-open-to-the-whole-world\" target=\"_blank\"> open up the visa application to all the countries in the world<\/a> after seeing those numbers. Since then, it has shot up to S$278, which is a total increase of  79.35%. It&#8217;s only set to rise from there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is a higher than average price hike, with International Air Transport Association (IATA) Chief Economist Brian Pearce&#8217;s prediction <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.you.co\/sg\/blog\/future-of-air-travel-after-covid-19\/\" target=\"_blank\">that flight tickets will be 43% to 54% higher<\/a> than pre-COVID-19 levels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That being said, there are lots of paperwork to go through; from the STV application documents, to the pre-flight documents, followed by procedures and protocols stipulated by the respective governments.
