Any interest we receive on client-money trust accounts is kept by YouTrip.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><b>Cooling-off rights<\/b><\/td><td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There is no statutory cooling-off period. However, you may close your wallet at any time and withdraw the remaining balance.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><b>How to complain<\/b><\/td><td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Need help? Details are in Section 11.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/li><li><h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> What the YouTrip Wallet is<br \/><\/span><\/h6><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The YouTrip Wallet is a non-cash payment facility. You top-up Australian dollars (AUD), then convert and hold them in supported foreign-currency wallets (<i><a href=\"https:\/\/youtripaustralia.zendesk.com\/hc\/en-us\/articles\/12376924318223-How-many-currencies-are-supported-on-YouTrip\">see supported currencies <\/a><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">) and pay or withdraw cash worldwide with the linked Mastercard\u00ae debit card. If you spend in a currency we don\u2019t support (for example, Malaysian ringgit), we simply convert straight from your AUD wallet using <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SmartExchange\u2122<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All wallet balances are stored value held on trust by YouTrip for your benefit. They are not bank deposits and do not earn interest.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li><h6><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How to open a wallet<\/span><\/h6><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can apply in the YouTrip app or on our website. You must:<\/span><\/p><ul><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">be 18 years or older and an Australian resident<\/span><\/li><li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">complete our identity checks (we\u2019ll ask for ID and, if needed, extra documents under anti-money-laundering laws)<\/span><\/li><li aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">agree to the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.you.co\/au\/youtrip-account-terms-and-conditions\/\">YouTrip Wallet Terms<\/a>, the Fees &amp; Limits Schedule, this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.you.co\/au\/product-disclosure-statement-pds-youtrip-wallet\/\">PDS<\/a>, our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.you.co\/au\/financial-services-guide-fsg-youtrip-wallet\/\">FSG<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.you.co\/au\/privacy-policy\/\">Privacy Policy<\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We may decline, suspend or close a wallet if information is incomplete, you don\u2019t co-operate with verification, or we suspect fraud, money-laundering or other misuse. Select the destination currency to view the rate; conversions occur at a market-linked spot rate sourced from our liquidity provider(s), and the rate shown when you confirm is the rate we apply. You may bear the loss if you delayed reporting or failed to protect your credentials.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><b>Currency movements<\/b><\/td><td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you hold a foreign-currency wallet, its value can rise or fall against AUD. For unsupported currencies, the rate can move between authorisation and settlement, changing the final AUD cost.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><b>Service outages<\/b><\/td><td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Downtime at card schemes, banks or our platform could temporarily stop you spending or withdrawing cash.<\/span><\/td><\/tr><tr><td><b>Third-party charges<\/b><\/td><td><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ATMs, merchants or intermediary banks may add their own fees. We reconcile those accounts every business day. Although your money is held on trust, it is not a bank deposit and is not covered by the Financial Claims Scheme.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li><h6>Tax treatment<\/h6><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">YouTrip does not provide tax advice. Any tax obligations (for example, capital-gains tax on foreign-exchange gains) are your responsibility.
